What I do

Most of my work is getting Inland Empire homes ready for more power: bigger panels, EV charging and backup power for outages.

Panel upgrades

100A to 200A upgrades, meter-main replacements, subpanels

A lot of older homes here still run on 100-amp panels that can't take an EV charger, heat pump or remodel on top of everything else. I upgrade panels to 200 amps, replace worn-out meter-main combos, swap out Zinsco and Federal Pacific panels, and add subpanels for garages, shops and additions.

Signs it's timeBreakers that trip often or feel warm, flickering lights, a Zinsco or Federal Pacific label, or plans for an EV, heat pump, pool or addition.

EV charger installation

Level 2 chargers for homes and businesses

Hardwired Level 2 chargers or a NEMA 14-50 outlet, including Tesla Wall Connectors and other brands. I run a load calculation before quoting. If a load-management device lets you skip a panel upgrade, I'll tell you.

Generator inlet installation

Inlet box and interlock for portable generators

When the power goes out, an outdoor inlet and panel interlock let you run a portable generator through your panel, powering the circuits you choose, without extension cords through windows and without backfeeding the utility lines.

SCE customers may qualify for up to $4,200

Southern California Edison's Charge Ready Home program offers up to $4,200 toward a panel upgrade plus an EV outlet, or up to $1,000 if you only need the 240-volt outlet. It's for income-qualified households and homes in disadvantaged communities. Ask me about it during your free panel check.

Check your eligibility on SCE's site. Program rules and amounts are set by SCE and can change.

Meet Mario

I'm Mario Martinez, the C-10 licensed electrician behind Inland Circuit Solutions. I live in Redlands, and when you call, you get me. I look at the job, give you the price, do the work and walk you through it when it's done.

As a journeyman, I've worked in homes, commercial buildings, industrial plants and healthcare facilities. That range means I'm as comfortable with a 100-amp panel in an older house as I am with 208-volt three-phase gear.

When I'm not on a job, I'm usually traveling, backpacking or out fishing.

Common questions

Do I need a panel upgrade for an EV charger?

Not always. It depends on your panel size and what else runs at the same time, like A/C, a dryer or a pool pump. I run a load calculation during the free panel check. Some homes can add a Level 2 charger with a load-management device instead of a new panel.

What are signs my panel needs attention?

Breakers that trip often or feel warm, buzzing, flickering lights, scorch marks, or a Zinsco or Federal Pacific panel. If you smell burning or feel heat at the panel, shut off that circuit if it's safe to do so and call right away.

What is a generator inlet?

An outdoor connection box wired to your panel, paired with an interlock. During an outage you plug a portable generator into the inlet and power the circuits you choose. The interlock keeps generator power and utility power from ever connecting at the same time.

Do you pull permits?

Yes. Panel upgrades, EV chargers and generator inlets are permitted work, and I handle the permit and the inspection.

Do you work with contractors?

Yes. I take electrical sub work from general contractors, remodelers, ADU builders and solar installers. Call or text with the scope and I'll get you a number.

Are you licensed?

Yes. Inland Circuit Solutions holds California C-10 electrical license #1155067. You can look it up on the CSLB website.
